What is happening in Pakistan?

Documentary Filmmaking Workshop

at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi, Pakistan

In September-October 2022 I received a Fulbright Specialist Grant to teach Documentary Filmmaking at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi, Pakistan.

At IVS I taught a small group of motivated students throughout the processes of documentary filmmaking work.

Students developed greater confidence and skill competencies in documentary filmmaking work.

Please consider the student evaluations at the bottom of the page.

The opportunity to teach at IVS enabled me to apply my knowledge of educational theory, particularly pertaining to "practice-based pedagogy."  I was able to integrate my professional skills, knowledge and experience as a filmmaker with my practical and theoretical experience as a teacher and writer.

Please see my doctoral dissertation (CLICK HERE) for more information about practice-based pedagogy, learning and teaching.

The students and I produced a 25 minute documentary titled, 'WHAT IS HAPPENING IN PAKISTAN."

Comments welcome.
